Some tests may require you to share your camera while answering questions. Customers find it compelling if they are able to see your face while you respond to a question, so they can see your natural reaction and gain a deeper understanding of how you feel.
Before you take one of these tests, you should see a screener asking if you feel comfortable sharing your camera. If you do not feel comfortable doing so, please do not accept these tests.
Note: You will need a camera (either built-in or external) in order to participate in these tests.
How to share your camera on Mac
Some tests will provide a link with instructions to share your camera depending on the device you are using.
If you are taking a test on a Mac computer, you'll be asked to open QuickTime Player. When you open QuickTime Player, you will not see any windows pop up. However, you should see "QuickTime Player" in the top left of your screen on the Apple Menu bar.
Navigate to File > New Movie Recording.
You should see a video of yourself appear on your screen. There is no need to record at this point, since our screen recorder is already recording your screen.
Adjust your QuickTime Player window and your browser window so that they are side by side. This way, the customer will be able to see your face throughout the test.
When answering the rest of the questions in the test, please be sure to move the task box out of the way so that it is not covering the video of your face.
